Founder and Vet
Founder and Head Vet
I grew up on a farm and developed a love for all sorts animals big and small, from our many dogs and cats right up to goats and cows! I have worked for PetAir since 2005 and love helping owners get their pets (they are members of the family) safely and comfortably to where they are all going to start their new life together, whether that is Paris or Perth and everywhere else in between!
I am a qualified veterinary nurse and have spent the past 4 years working in a hectic veterinary hospital, so working with animals and making sure that they’re happy and healthy is of huge importance to me. I started with PetAir in June 2011 and love helping our clients move one of the most important family members over to a new exciting country. By far, my favourite part of the job is spending time with the pets in our kennels and cattery – like this little guy. This is one of our clients pets who came for a cuddle and to have his picture taken with me because my dog, Gregory was far too lazy to get out of bed!
Animals have always been a big passion of mine and as soon as I had an opportunity to help fly them all over the world to keep families together I jumped at the chance. We all understand that your pets are just as important as your children so I love the fact I can look after and help your pets have a safe and carefree journey to their new life.
Having come from a background in customer service with companies such as Harvey Nichols, as well as developing a successful career in adult on-line learning, I decided in 2010 to do something that played to my supportive skills and love of working with '2-legged' AND '4-legged' customers. This led to me joining PetAir UK in the quote team. Dogs in particular have played a large part in my life, with a Mother who is a dog breeder and I am proud 'servant' to my Ragdoll cat Charlie who rules the roost at home. The satisfaction of seeing all the great pictures of our feline and canine VIP travellers in their new homes and even getting to meet and cuddle them on occasion, is wonderful!
Animals have always been a part of my life and growing up our house was a little like a zoo with goats, horses, dogs, cats and rabbits to mention a few. I left school and then studied for two years at an agricultural university studying Equine Science upon leaving a found a job as a veterinary nurse in an Equine practice. I started with PetAir UK in 2008 and am one of the senior members of the quoting team.
I have been involved in aviation all my life, sending and taking people around the world, but now I do this for pets. It’s lovely talking to people on the phone and arranging for their pets relocation. Giving them a helping hand and reassuring them that this important part of the family will be given first class treatment all the way.
Matt is one of our newer team members and has been brought in to help with the growing number of crates being made. Matt is quiet and diligent and has been a great addition to our team. He owns a pet tortoise called "Shelley".
Ben has been with us for over a year now and was an RAVC army dog trainer for 3 and half years. He has a keen love of dogs and off road vehicles and can often be found checking and rechecking the crates which are made.
I had a change in career and was fortunate to join PetAir initially as a driver and carer for animals. I have 3 springers, one of which I rescued. I now assist in the building of the travel kennels taking care to ensure each one meets the high standards demanded by your pets!
Sam is one of our younger team members and shows great enthusiasm in ensuring that the crates are perfect. He studied Animal Management at college, which he passed with distinction.
Having worked for PetAir for some time I love the opportunity to meet the clients (and their owners)! I always ensure when I transport pets that they are getting the first class treatment they deserve. I’m a keen animal lover and when not helping relocate other people’s pets I enjoy spending time at home with my five dogs.
Hi, I'm Gemma and I have been with Pet Air since early 2011. I have spent my entire life working with animals, and in my spare time, I volunteer with local Animal Rescues. I also compete at Flyball with the love of my life "Miss Lucksy".
I have worked for PetAir for many years and enjoy the interaction with the many pets I collect and look after. I come from a farming background and have worked with all types of animals. I have 4 dogs of my own 2 of which I rescued.
Having been the senior Veterinary assistant in a busy animal practice, Bob is used to pressure environments, dealing with frightened pets and reassuring worried and concerned owners on a daily basis. Bob’s compassion and care are second to none and his easy going nature and careful diligence help ensure that the PetAir team can take care of any export to any country in the world, irrespective of stringent import permit regulations or veterinary tests.
